Republic Speech in English
for school class 8,9,10,11,12
Good morning to all the respected teachers, parents, and my dear friends. Today, I am honored to speak to you on the occasion of Republic Day.
Republic Day, celebrated on the 26th of January every year, marks the day when the Constitution of India came into force in 1950. This day transformed India into a newly formed republic country. It’s a day that reminds us of the values that our nation stands for – justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.
The Constitution of India is not just a book; it is our guide to making India a better place. It lays down the laws, rights, and duties of every citizen.
On this day, we witness grand parades, in the capital, New Delhi. The parade showcases India’s defense capability and cultural and social heritage. Students across the country participate in various school events, expressing their patriotism and pride.
As students and future leaders, we must understand our responsibilities towards our country. We should respect our national symbols, abide by the laws, and work towards the betterment of our society. Remember, every small step counts – be it keeping our surroundings clean, helping those in need, or standing against injustice.
Let’s promise to uphold the values our constitution teaches us and work together for a peaceful and prosperous India. Happy Republic Day to everyone!
