ROLE OF MEDIA IN OUR SOCIETY The media plays a very significant role in our society. The media is all around us. From the shows, we watch on T.V., the music we listen to on radios, the books, the magazines, and the newspapers we read every day. Without the media, the people in society would be isolated not only from the rest of the world but from the Government, lawmakers, neighboring towns, and cities, etc. the flow of information is important for development, and media to facilitate this. Without the wide array of information people’s opinions and views would be limited. In A country like India which is a democratic country, the media plays a crucial role in shaping a healthy democracy, media makes us aware of various social, political, and economical activities happening around the world and in the country.
