WHAT DID I MISS DURING THE LOCK DOWN
We had to be in lock down because of outbreak of corona virus. All schools, markets, malls, cinema halls etc were shut.In early days it’s a challenge to deal with the abrupt change in life style. What I've missed is human connection. I missed seeing people and meeting people.
I really just missed being able to go for a coffee with my friends and going to the shops whenever I want; stuff that I definitely took for granted before this lock down. I can’t meet my friends. I chat with my friends, but it’s not the same as being with them.
As all cinema halls, malls, parks, monuments were also closed so hanging out with friends and family was like a dream.
Online classes are going on to continue our studies. But I missed extracurricular activities of school like games and other functions. There is a barrier between teachers and students, which is the screen. There are no practicals and no experiments.
I missed the outdoors games which give enjoyment and keep us fit and active.
I missed the earlier festive season also. We celebrated all festivals at home without meeting relatives and friends. I missed parties and social gatherings as well.
It was the need of the hour. But now unlock is started. So it’s our duty to follow the norms and make social distancing and wear mask. And still we should not go out until its necessary. Hoping and praying now that it will be over soon and once again we will start our usual routine as before. Hope schools will also reopen soon.
